Disease symptoms and general health
Every disease presents signs and symptoms when it eventuates, some more conspicuous than others. The problem with identifying illness is that many diseases have overlapping symptoms, so gathering all available information will help your doctor immensely. There is always an excessive worrying on the part of the patients, almost to the point of hypochondria, with patients often thinking they are showing cancer symptoms, depression symptoms, allergy symptoms, heart disease, diabetes and many other worrying ailments. When your doctor arranges treatment for you, it is best if the treatment begins early. So that is why it’s important not to be over anxious about symptoms, but to at least be aware of early signs. During treatment the patient can experience stress and signs of anxiety, but this is to be expected, as fear of the future and of the treatment itself are very real. Children especially can be over anxious about what is happening, as it is harder for them to understand the details of what is wrong with them, and the purpose of the treatment. But symptoms may be something innocent such as cold or flu, so keep this in mind before running off to the hospital or your local doctor. Unnecessary panic causes long delays in hospitals, holding up treatments for true medical emergencies. But the important thing to remember for good health is to maintain a healthy diet, regular exercise and try to avoid those things in life that cause disease and poor health. This includes all the obvious things such as smoking, drinking alcohol, eating fatty and salty foods, but it also includes less obvious things such as not too much but not too little sun exposure, avoiding air pollution, and avoiding activities that put strain on knees, hips and joints in general, which can aggravate arthritis, although not at the expense of regular exercise. But of course, in the end it is common sense which will keep you in the best health.
